Microspeak: The walk-on topic

Walk-on Topics
At the end of a meeting, the meeting organizer might ask if there are any walk-on topics. These are topics that weren’t on the agenda but which an attendee may wish to bring up for the group to discuss. The term "walk-on" likely draws from the sports terminology where a student joins a school sports team without an invitation. Similarly, a walk-on topic is one that shows up at the meeting without being scheduled in advance.
In a nutshell:
- Walk-on Topic: A topic that is not on the agenda but is brought up for discussion at the end of a meeting.
